HSPA Charity of Choice! 
Each month, Human Service Professionals designates a “Charity of Choice” at each of our monthly meetings. Charities are selected by members who vote at each meeting.

A fundraiser for the benefit of
“Families of the Fallen”
In celebration of National Assisted Living Week and its theme of “Forever Proud,” our family here at Bethesda and the family at HSPA will be collecting items to be donated to the local division of the USO benefiting the “Families of the Fallen.” Beginning August 29 and ending September 16, 2011 you can join us in giving back by donating the following items to be given to the local USO branch:
- Bottled water
- Snack size items (fruit snacks, chips, granola bars, etc.)
- New blankets
- Gift cards that can be used in the airport terminals (McDonalds, Pizza Hut, Starbucks, Chilis, Paradise Bakery, Burger King, Cinnabon)
- Monetary donation to be put towards the purchase of an X-box or a Wii for the VIP lounge
The goal of the USO organization is to help American troops and their families to provide a feeling of home away from home, and within the Sky Harbor Airport, there is just such a place. In their VIP lounge area away from the hustle and bustle of the airport lobbies, soldiers and their families, veterans, and families of fallen soldiers are able to find a place of peace while they wait for their next flight. They can find snacks, comfort, entertainment or a good meal with the generous donations of community members like you. Please join us in giving back to the soldiers and their families who give so much to us and let them know that we are “Forever Proud” of them.
All donations must be received by 9:00 am, Sept 16th, 2011. Donations can be dropped off at Bethesda Gardens, 13825 North Cave Creek Road Phoenix Arizona 85022. Please call Tracy at 602-765-4000 if you wish your donation to be picked up.
